Tear Down This Wall’

“Tear down this wall, Mr. Gorbachev!”

and that’s how Reagan closed his speech

when the land and the sky of Berlin were divided

amidst the 750th anniversary of a city which has lost her soul

little that he know that we had another wall in 2020

not a wall which separates ideologies,

yet it’s a wall which separates us from our beloved ones

as we’re being confined between the four walls we call “home”

and just like wars, no one knows when it’s all gonna end

it might end soon

or it might never end

but unlike Reagan, we’ll never know to whom we should shout:

“Tear down this wall!”

this wall will fall

beliefs become reality
